Benjamin's 4th grade class went to Camp Floyd the same day as Connor's 7th grade Utah Studies class went on a field trip to Antelope Island. We forgot to send Connor with a camera but here are a few photos of what Ben did: The school house was built in 1898. (I loved the simple architecture.) There was a museum that Ben wasn't all that interested in until he saw the cannon. [Ben: "Shooting a cannon is harder than I thought."] He really enjoyed target practice with BB guns [He now wants to go deer hunting like some of his friends] and making bricks [Hmm . . . mud].

He hated racing stick horses. [Ben: Beyond dumb -How old did they think we are?] Someone else took off with his hand-dipped candle and he couldn't find anything in the general store that was worthy enough to part with his money. But hey, he learned about Utah history in a hands on way and I thought that was great.

Utah History....looks like fun! And it's so close.... California history I know (not because I lived it--because I went to CA. schools - smile) Utah history I don't know so much about other than D&C history.... I need to do the fourth grade in Utah!
