As some of you know, I went to my ward's annual Relief Society's Service Auction and filled out two coupons to help sisters with their canning. I first helped Tauna Hill can peach slices, and then helped Debbie Swenson can her salsa. I was invited to bring ingredients and jars, etc. so I could come home with some of the salsa. [How nice!] It was a lot of fun to can with them and I'd do it again in a heart beat! There was just one "drawback": I caught the canning bug! My sisMisty Meads heard of an orchard that was giving away peaches for the picking and thus began a weeks worth of canning for me. All in all, I've canned 15 pints of salsa, 42 quarts of peach slices (I was able to cram in about 13 peaches into each-YUM!), and 24 quarts of peach pie filling. Not bad, huh? Does anyone want to come over this fall or winter for some pie? Just let me know when to expect you :-D!!

ohhh....peach cobbler! Put me on the invite list
Brings back many memories. I love seeing your pictures and hearing your comments. I can't say for sure I will be up there before winter is over but I know one thing...I will be there.
