Freitag, Oktober 10, 2008: Connor started the day out with our traditional birthday breakfast in bed [his choice: sliced strawberries and whipped cream-topped waffles and four store-bought croissants with a tall glass of OJ]. He received a phone call from Dad at the airport, birthday presents [Heroscape extension packs and a dragon "action" figure from his brothers], along with a container of mixed nuts that he needn't share but did; he went off to school for the fun of taking two tests [math and Spanish]; and was home again for the traditional "No chores for the B-day boy" easy life. As an added bonus for it being Friday, Connor also chose the "No homework for now" route. Normally, Ken and I would have taken him out for his Birthday dinner along with a friend, but Ken was still out on a business trip and that had to wait until Saturday night [Red Lobster with Jeffrey Crippen -- I again forgot the camera]. Thank you to everyone who remembered him on his birthday! [Connor: "The best thing about my birthday is that I'm now a teenager!"]
