I have passed on! The roles of Cub Master of Pack 864 and Tiger Cub Den Leader [come Pack Night Volunteer-Cub Master when needed] of Pack 1577, are no longer my own. I have handed it all over to new leadership. I didn't think to take photos of the last Pack Night I ran, but here is a photo of the last Tiger Cub Den meeting I was in charge of. We went to learn about fish on an elective "go-see-it". Benjamin came along because he loves fish.
So, after five years of being in charge of Pack 864 and only two years of being Pack 1577's Tiger Cub leader, I will now be the Boy Scout Committee Chairperson of Troop 864 and have been invited to Wood Badge Leadership Training this coming summer. And I had foolishly packed away my uniform the day after my last Pack Night! (Men look great in these uniforms, but there's nothing flattering about them on women -in my opinion.) Jessica, Connor, and the boys all did a jig in the living room when they heard the news, and they all looked crestfallen when, after about a week, I was called to keep the troop running smoothly. (I'm even over Ken in his Boy Scout calling! I haven't yet figured out why that makes me smile each time I . . .) Well, anyway, out of the pan and into the fire, right?

I have to admit I was as excited as your kids were to hear you were finally set free of this calling...but I am sure there is a reason you are called to carry on in another capacity.
