Thanksgiving Point's Dinosaur Museum Visit
Nathaniel's Tiger Cub den was taking a trip to the dinosaur museum at a $2.00/ticket discounted price; so Jessica, Connor, and Benjamin tagged along for the fun of it. As you can see , most of the fun was Nathaniel's. Nevertheless, we all had fun (myself with my new camera), and afterward went to the IMAX theater there. My camera's battery was at the end of its charge though, so we couldn't stage more photos than these. Enjoy!
Don't worry Aunt Delpha, your cookie jar is safe from the Meads family.

I was very excited to come across this cookie jar on Ebay. It had never held cookies so it doesn't have even one cooking lard stain that most pre-1960s jars have. That was a bonus perk to me because my own cookies would be the first to touch the inside. This cookie jar was placed in a glass-doored display cabinet the day it was purchased. It was being sold, along with about 300 others, by the daughter of the original collector because the family was helping to sort out their parents home etc. I'm glad they did! It is still behind glass doors with the strictest instructions that only Mom or Dad can bring it out and supervise lid lifting and cookie grabbing. However, my children are now eating cookies out of and making memories of our version of their Great Grandma's cookie jar. Sweet!

I forgot that this blogging is 'backward reading'
I was limited to a post of four photos at a time. You'll need to read backward this time (and maybe a few more times until I can remember.... Enjoy the photos!
Grandma Brooks' B-day Party at the Park
Sorry I'm at least one month late to post these. :-( Here are the first few photos I took at our Mom's birthday party. She seemed to really love her new bike. While I was trying to get some more photos of cousin playtime, there sounded an EXPLOSION coming from the direction of our truck. A boy riding his bike nearby said he quickly turned in time to see a large mushroom cloud of dust explode from our now flat front tire. I'm sorta sorry not to have captured that on film! The other photos are from today's Meads family picnic at Salem Pond and what we saw there. I took photos of the boys and a few of the Salem teens jumping their bikes off of a home-built ramp. Enjoy!
