Accomplishments

Nathaniel has been spending time of late learning to ride a bike (and stay up on it), and today confidently told Ken to "let go already", then sped off to ride his bike. Now we can all go on a long family bike ride!

I also canned peaches today -- somewhat of an accomplishment. I offered two "service coupons" of helping others with their canning for a year at our ward's Relief Society's "Service Auction". By Friday, I'll have helped can salsa. By the end of September, I will have canned squash too. I get hands-on experience and they get help. I will offer the same coupons next year. It's fun! WE HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOUR FAMILY AS WELL. :-)

"Leprechaun" NOT leprecon -- My mistake!

Jessica goes to Homecoming

Jessica and best friends, Katelyn and Kassidy, all give a leprecon's answer at the end of a rainbow. She wrote "Y", "E", and "S" on three chocolate coins and mixed in another thirty-or -so unmarked coins in a plastic cauldron. The answer was placed with a message to follow the rainbow... at around midnight. Next came dress/shoes/jewelry/hair acessories shopping and fittings for alterations. It was all worth it because Jessica had a great time with RyLee Locke at Homecoming. Please see Jessica's blog for the exciting details of her first date.

Here is a quick shot of the two of them. Jessica has more photos of the homecoming game and has other shots of them from RyLee's mom's camera and Ryan's mom's camera, not to mention photos from the dance. (It was a group date and everyone's parents took pictures. Hey, Jess can never say Homecoming wasn't well-documented for her. :-)

You will need to visit Jessica's blog for more information on this first photo.

Like mother like son . . . ? Connor wanted me to post how he creatively played with his breakfast this morning. It is supposed to be George Washington rocking out on a guitar. Whatever!

Connor goes MATRIX on the trampoline.

Trampin' in the Rain

A fishing trip with the boys was planned for today; however, there was a thunder storm to deal with. It was warm enough during the downpour that the boys decided to go jump on the trampoline. Connor was lucky enough to be jumping during a quick hail storm, and I was called to "get the camera!" Here's the results:
